Biomaterials is a really huge field, and most projects are very application driven (meaning you can always see that there are people to help). You always need teams of people with different skills in biomaterials, because most people are either trained as medics, chemists, engineers, materials scientists or biologists, and we need to bring all of these different ideas together! So I was trained as an engineer, but other people in my team are trained as doctors and dentists.

It sounds like a research job in BioMaterials would be right up your street! Maybe working on finding new ways to target drugs? You could always do your undergraduate degree in something like biochemistry, and then specialise in biomaterials later on.

      I hope this helps!
