      It is a competition for anyone under 28 studying materials science, you have to present a 15minute lecture and you are judged on that. There are a couple of rounds and then a final.

      Every subject has an “institution” which oversees a lot of things in the subject, like public engagement. So there is an institute of chemistry and physics as well.
