Honestly no I didn’t think I would be doing this when I was younger. I didn’t know what I wanted to do and ended up doing A-levels I enjoyed and was fairly good at – the sciences and english. Then I realised how much I enjoyed biology and decided to do it at Uni. There is a lot of pressure on young people these days to decide on what career they want very early on but I would advise you to do the subjects you like and don’t worry about pressures too much as no matter what path you take (whether you go to University or not) you will be okay.
Thank you for your advice because I thought I was going to have to chose what I want to do before I chose my options because I want to do cooking and sport but now I have no need to worry because I could turn out doing any job not necessarily what I like now. When you were at school did anyone tell you that you were really good at something and tell you you should do it as a job, but you didn’t actually like that subject?
