      Well, firstly humans *are* apes (along with chimps, gorillas, bonobos, orangutans and gibbons). And yes, I think that there is lots of evidence for evolution.

      Also, we didn’t evolve from chimps (which are our closest living relatives), chimps and humans evolved from a shared ancestor (in the same way that you and your cousin share grandparents). Humans evolved in one way and chimps evolved in another.
