  I can teach anyone to use the microscope in about three or four hours but I have to keep them running, tune them and deal with faults which is a lot harder – it took me six days of 12 hour lessons ( with lunch ) to learn the basics. My microscopes use hundred of thousands of volts and cost a million pounds so I still get a bit edgy around them sometimes.
