      I try not to have favourite animals, but it can be tricky not to! At the moment one of my favourite monkeys is called Popeye. He is the top-ranking male in one of our monkey groups here at the zoo. However, despite being the top male, he is really friendly and gentle.

      Smartness and intelligence are difficult to define, because different animals are smart in different ways. One chimp that I have worked with, called Kiht, is very good at solving puzzles. She seems to like the challenge of solving things and is very good at copying if you show her how to do something.
