• Question: Have you ever seen an electron through a microscope?

      No they’re way too small for my pieces of kit – I have to stop at atoms as I’m actually using electrons to make the pictures. I can though, tune the microscope down a bit and watch individual electrons arrive on the screen as tiny pin point flashes of light – it’s not something ‘normal’ to do with the machine but sometimes when you’re fixing it you need to have a quick check.
