Ape research has helped us in all sorts of ways. It helps us to understand diseases like autism and how children’s brains develop. It is also used in robotics – people who build robots are interested in how we solve puzzles so they can make their robots solve puzzles as well.

It can also be used to help us conserve the species – the more that we understand about them, the more we can help them.

However, one of the key things for me is that it helps us find out more about our world and all the amazing things in it. That’s what science is all about; more knowledge is a good thing!

I think Lewis has this one – that’s his research area!
