I’m not sure, that is a hard question! I like where I have ended up, so I would be worried about ruining that. But I found it really difficult learning to be organised and work well at school (I was very easily distracted) and didn’t really learn how to until I was in 6th form, so I would go back to year 7 and tell myself to work on that sooner!
Don’t worry too much. When I was about 15, I had my life all planned out. I knew what I wanted to be (a vet) and how I wanted to live. Then when I didn’t get into the veterinary course at university, I was devastated.
However, the opportunities that I have had since then have been amazing and I have done so many other things. I get to work with amazing animals, do comedy performances to 300 people and come to work every day in a zoo. I would never have thought that I could do that when I was 15.
Duck! – when I was 19 I used to do battle reenactment with real steel weapons, some idiot hit me full force over the head ( you’re never supposed to go for the head ) – now I can’t drive as engine noises knock me out after about half an hour.
Other than that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in life some of which made me miserable for a long time but if I changed those I wouldn’t be the person I am now and wouldn’t be doing what I do.
Of course if I could nip back with a list of roll over numbers for the Wednesday draw…….
I would tell myself to make sure I learnt at least one language! I think it is amazing to be able to speak two languages – that is something I want to achieve in my life.
I’m not sure. There are some things I would have liked to do differently but you never know what they would have led to! I’m quite happy where I am now — but I’d definitely get me to be more disciplined and less lazy!
