  Yes, different monkeys and apes have different personalities and skills. This can be because of many things – their sex, how high ranking they are, their family, how old they are. Some individuals do very well at some of the puzzles that we set them and others do better at other types of puzzles (and some just can’t be bothered to solve puzzles!).
