Skiing! I learnt at a dry slope when I was at school. It’s just super fun!

Running for me because can either be casual or competitive. There is a 5 km run in my local park every saturday morning which is packed out with everyone trying to beat each other and beat their own times. The sprints in the athletics are always the most exciting and I’ve been to watch the London marathon a couple of times too (I am a long way off competing though haha). Plus there is nothing better for your mental wellbeing than some thinking time on a cool morning run.

CRICKET! It’s the finest sport in the world… I love playing it, watching it, listening to it on the radio. It is so skilled, both physically and mentally, and there is loads of strategy involved as well.

I’m not too sporty but because it seems like rowing is so popular in Cambridge I thought I’d try it. I really like it – because there’s some skill and co-ordination involved. Also, when you’re out on the river there’s 8 of you on the boat, and the cox (sitting at the end of the boat) is calling out instructions — it’s the point where I can just switch off, imagine I have no will of my own, I’m part of something bigger I do exactly as the person in front of me – or it all goes out of balance. It sounds a bit like a dystopian fantasy but it’s great for those 2 hours.

It’s also great for me cause unlike running which I do on my own, and not very successfully (I always put it off), I will HAVE to do this, or else there’ll be 8 angry people to contend with 😀

None! I like don’t any sports at all . That doesn’t stop me keeping fit – I cycle everywhere and do weights to keep me in condition for trapeze, and the trapeze itself is good exercise.

I used to fence – and was in county team for national tournaments though I wasn’t fussed about competing. When I went to university the local groups took it way too seriously, I wasn’t interested in spending hours a week practicing for competition and they didn’t want anyone who just did it for fun so I stopped going.
