I try not to have favourites – so many people contribute to science but Richard Feynman the physicist deserves a whole heap of respect for being an incredible scientist – a founder of quantum physics, never taking things too seriously – he was a notorious practical joker, for standing up to authority ( read up on his role in the Challenger shuttle investigation ) and his insistence that if you cannot explain your work to a novice in a way they understand, you don’t understand it yourself – it’s why I’m on this site and I have to admit – it’s hard!
