Question: why are monkeys hairy ?

Monkeys hair helps them control their temperature. It keep them warm and helps them cool. Monkeys also sometimes use their hair in interesting ways. Some big males will have big hair to show who is the boss (look up a picture of a gelada baboon). Also, monkeys can puff their hair up if they are cross or scared.
